Who can use this capability
You must be a Resourcing Admin to change the account owner or to become an account owner.
Change your Resource Management account owner
The account owner is the primary contact with Smartsheet and receives updates and alerts from Smartsheet. There can only be one account owner, and that user must also have Resourcing Admin permissions. The Account Owner is responsible for setting up the account.
It is best practice to have more than one Resourcing Admin.
Check permissions for the new owner
The new account owner must be a licensed Resourcing Administrator.
- Log into rm.smartsheet.com.
- On the top right, select Settings > Account Settings.
- Select People from the left menu.
- Find or invite the person you want to set as the new owner. If they are not a Resourcing Administrator, select the role dropdown and then select Resourcing Administrator.
- Select Save.
Change the Account Owner
- On the top right, select Settings > Account Settings.
- In the General section, under Account Owner, select a new owner from the dropdown.
- At the bottom of the screen, select Save.
