Who can use this capability
Administrators, Designers, and Authors can create projects.
Create a project in Content Automation
Projects are folders that house a selection of a user's documents.
How to create an empty project
- Go to the Projects screen and select the New Project button.
- Select the New Empty Project thumbnail to create a blank project folder.
- Give your project a name and assign the project to a team. Select whether you want to make the project visible to everyone on the team or only yourself.
- Select Create Project.
- You are now ready to add documents to your project.
How to create a project from a project kit
- Go to the Projects screen and select the grey New project button.
- Select any kit thumbnails (anything other than the New Empty Project thumbnail) to create a project kit. Please note if you would like to preview the project kit before adding it, select the eye icon on the thumbnail.
- If you want to add the project kit, select the Select this kit button.
- Give your project a name and assign the project to a team. Select whether you want to make the project visible to everyone on the team or only yourself.
- Select Create Project to see all of the templates inside the project. You can start editing the templates or adding more templates to the project.
Create a project with documents
- Go to the Projects screen and select the blue New document button.
- Select the templates you want to create your documents with and select Create documents.
- Select Create new project.
- Give the project a name and select if it should be private or visible to other team members.
- Select what teams you’re creating the project for, even if the project is private, as you may wish to share this project with a team later. If you select multiple teams, multiple projects will be created - one for each team selected.
- Confirm Create project.
